Phentermine and visceral obesity

Phentermine is an anorexigenic drug used to treat patients, diagnosed with obesity. Phentermine slimming tablets are intended for patients with BMI over 30.During Phentermine therapy, patients show burning not only of subcutaneous fat, but also of intra-abdominal fat (visceral). Even a small visceral obesity significantly increases risks to patient’s health.

Usually, visceral obesity is caused by high-calorie food and a sedentary lifestyle. Therefore, during Phentermine treatment, people are recommended to keep to low calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Prolonged visceral obesity significantly increases the risk of acute cerebrovascular accidents and irreversible myocardial necrosis. Early obesity treatment with Phentermine drug reduces the risks of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, colon cancer, and helps normalizing levels of fats in blood plasma.

Usually, visceral obesity significantly increases waist circumference. When having internal body fat, men have waist circumference more, than 95 cm, and women over 80 cm. Intra-abdominal fat may cover such organs, as heart, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and significantly increases risk of chronic diseases.

  • When using Phentermine, it is recommended to increase physical activity and keep to a diet to increase the rate of visceral fat burning.

Patients, taking Phentermine, should:

  • Move more throughout the day.
  • Reduce intake of saturated fats.
  • Refuse consuming large amounts of salt and sugar.
  • Drink lots of fluids, or plain water.
  • Refuse alcohol-containing beverages.
  • Reduce coffee consumption.
  • Refuse active or passive smoking.

When using Phentermine, obese patients do not experience such painful hunger, as before using these slimming tablets. Therefore, it can be much easier for obese people to consume foods, which are low in calories.

Visceral Obesity

Most obese people eat insufficient vegetables.

  • Their daily diet should include several meals, containing fresh, frozen or canned fruits or vegetables.
  • It is important to have breakfast, when using slimming tablets Phentermine.
  • Most chemical body reactions slow down after sleep.
  • Breakfast stimulates internal organs and helps speeding up metabolism.

Patients on Phentermine should reduce the intake of saturated fats. Fats, found in fast food, chips and some snacks, contribute to visceral obesity and increase level of fat in blood plasma.  In addition, high cholesterol greatly increases the likelihood of cardiovascular complications.

Phentermine slimming tablets can have such side effect, as high blood pressure. Therefore, obese people need to switch to the consumption of “good fats”.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids are found in such foods, as peanut oil, canola oil, olive oil and some margarine. If you use these products in cooking, it will help normalize blood pressure and increase the rate of fat burning.
